Are cheap serviced apartments a myth?

Are cheap serviced apartments a myth?

Check out these budget serviced apartments in central Singapore and judge for yourself.

Location location location. It’s the only thing we look at when searching for lodging. Actually, no. Price location price. Yea, that’s more like it.

It’s not easy trying to find the ideal apartment with a reasonable price at the perfect location. Fret not, for I have taken the time out of my day to help a fellow traveller. This piece is dedicated to those picky tight-budgeters.

Home is where the heart is. If the heart of Singapore is the Central District, then this home isn’t too far off. Located within the bustling parameters of Farrer Park, you’ll just be a stone’s throw away from the core of Singapore.

Location – Farrer Park offers a plethora of options for food, shopping and fun. Good thing Sky Perch is located where the good choices are.

Littered everywhere around Little India and Serangoon, you will find a great number of Indian restaurants, western style cafes and local coffee shops. Grocery shopping at Tekka and luxury shopping at City Square Mall means you won’t have to travel far to get what you need and want.

Sky Perch is also located just 10 mins away from Farrer Park MRT; which connects you to the city in less than 15mins.

Amenities – Even at a low price, this apartment comes with condo facilities like a long lap pool and a modern gym. So you won’t be losing when paying less for this apartment. (You also won’t have an excuse not to work out.)

Living – The budget one bedroom option here offers a quaint space in a clean contemporary interior. Modern travellers needs are met with a pleasant bathroom featuring a gorgeous view. Oh yea, the view from the balcony? It’s great.

Positioning – Placed on a relatively high floor, this unit offers quite the spectacle come nightfall. Busy Farrer park turns into a calming light show from up there. Giving you space to chill and soak it all in.

Somewhere closer to town you ask? I know just the place. Here’s one in Newton. That’s one stop away from Orchard; the spectacle of Singapore’s city scene, laden with shopping malls and luxury brands.

Location – Manhattan Park is a 10 mins walk away from Newton MRT. The proximity to this train station is only the tip of the convenience-iceberg.

Being close to Newton station also means its next to Newton Food Centre; a famous grub hub with a wide selection of local and regional dishes that will have your back late into the night. Newton is also known for its rich expatriate neighbourhoods.

Those lovely expats coming into Singapore will be glad to know that you’ll be joining well-established support community.

Amenities – Just like the condo before, you can look to a daily refreshing dip in the pool this building offers and it comes with a spanking new gym. For those with families, you’ll be glad to know that Newton houses a number of high profile education institutes. Also, just 10 mins away, you’ll find a Cold Storage Supermarket for your grocery needs.

Living – The building is less than 4 years old so you can expect new facilities, infrastructure and services.

Positioning – This particular unit is located on a high floor. The seat on your balcony will be overlooking a great view of town. Turn up for work with ease of a strategic location, turn down after with a picturesque scene up high.
